Title: Fairy Glade and Other Enchanting Tales

Author: Dawn Beaumont Lane

Publisher: RealTime Publishing

Fairy Glade and Other Enchanting Tales is a book to delight children of all ages. It is one of those books which never really gets “old” and can even be enjoyed by an adult.
Although some would call this book small it is still pleasing, especially if you read your child one chapter per night, making this last longer.

The chapter pertaining to Samantha the Lizard and Arty the Frog was one I took much pleasure in reading. Samantha is very jealous of Arty, while she can only change colours, Arty can leap from lily pad to lily pad with a surprising amount of ease.
It turns out that Arty feels jealous of Samantha and her abilities and from there on these two characters learn to become friends and spend all day together in the sun. This chapter held a personal fondness to me as I adore reptiles and if your children like these creatures they will certainly love Samantha and Arty!

The tale about the young girl called Della and her brother Kevin is another one that I enjoyed. They were given a wand by Bluebell fairy in chapter one and told never to forget their adventures. Now they’ve grown up and return to the fairy land. Will they have remembered and what wishes did they make? Is it possible to still believe in fairies when you get older? The bound between the brother and sister is sweet and easy to understand.

What can happen next in the fairy glen? And what kind of house does Bluebell live in? Where is the palace and will the children ever return to normal size again? A lovely, enchanting fairy book with a handful of tales from the fairies. The perfect gift if you know of your own little fairy.
