 Hi,

The eBook Sale is my first website and this is my first blog. I’m going to share with you the few simple steps I used to get setup and going.

1. Purchase/create the correct domain name… do not use this type of format: keyword1-keyword2-keyword3.com

2. Register your domain name for at least 2 years

3. Follow these on-site Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) tips:

• use <h1> tags in the page contents
• use titles that include some extra text describing the content of the page
• use meta-tags… author, description, keywords
• in terms of keyword density,  just make sure that the page content reads well and makes sence to the customer (include keywords but only if it reads ok). Use lots of links to sub-pages through keyword rich anchor text (i.e. when linking to another page, don’t say ‘click here’… instead use a keyword that describes the page your linking to
• have a good site infrastructure, i.e. links from sub-pages to the home-page, links from sub-pages to other sub-pages…
• build content slowely… submit the homepage on its own first and once its indexed - submit another page/link and when thats indexed, submit another…

4. Install a wordpress blog (and plugins).

5. Continue to submit to multiple directories and build up backlinks… also, write articles and press releases.
